Sprinkler Controller Repair & Replacement
At EVO Professional Irrigation & Outdoor Services we diagnose, repair, support and install irrigation controllers of all types—from basic sprinkler timers to smart controllers with Wi-Fi connectivity and, where quoted, weather integration. Professional controller service helps your system water when and where you intend, and helps minimize avoidable water waste.
Nearly three decades of industry experience.
Why the Right Sprinkler Controller Matters
The controller (sprinkler timer or irrigation clock) is the brain of your irrigation system. A well-chosen and properly configured controller helps your system water accurately by zone, helps minimize avoidable over-watering and protects your plants. We recommend EPA WaterSense-labeled controllers where applicable, help you choose the right controller for your property, customize the watering schedule by zone, and show you how to use it manually.
Rain sensors and soil-moisture sensors can be added to many systems to help pause watering when moisture is sufficient. They are included only when listed in your quote.

Smart & Weather-Based Controllers
Smart irrigation controllers can use local weather and other inputs to adjust watering, depending on the model and the sensors installed. Features vary by controller and can include:
- Scheduling that helps minimize avoidable water waste
- Weather-based schedule adjustments on compatible controllers
- Remote access from compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers, depending on the controller and platform
- Water use monitoring and reporting on controllers that support it
We work with major manufacturers including Hunter, Rain Bird, Rachio, Toro, K-Rain and Weathermatic, and with both residential and commercial controllers.
Hydrawise Monitoring Add-On

Frequently Asked Questions
How does diagnosis and pricing work?
Our technicians assess the relevant components, identify potential causes and explain their findings. When additional diagnostic work is necessary, we explain the applicable service process and charges before proceeding. Once the problem has been identified, we provide a descriptive, line-item flat-rate quote, and you authorize the work before repairs begin.
What’s the difference between a smart controller and a standard timer?
Smart controllers can adjust watering using weather data on compatible models and can be managed from compatible apps or web portals on smartphones, tablets and computers. Standard timers run a fixed schedule you set.
Do smart controllers need Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi controllers need a reliable internet connection for app control and weather adjustments. We’ll check your signal at the controller location.
Can you repair my existing controller?
We diagnose first. Depending on the age and condition, repair or replacement may make more sense, and we’ll explain both.
Which brands do you work with?
We work with major manufacturers including Hunter, Rain Bird, Rachio, Toro, K-Rain and Weathermatic.
